9:02am on 02.10.16

My life is now complete. Emerson Frances Moreau entered this world weighing 8lb1oz and was 21" long.

The c section went well but Emerson was so low in my pelvis that the doctor needed to use the vacuum to get her out.   She wasn't breathing when she first came out and it scared the hell out of us. But she soon started crying and passed with flying colors, with scores of 5/9/10.

I ended up having to spend almost 24 hours on the magnesium drip and Emerson spent a little longer than that in the special care nursery so that her blood sugar could be stabilized. But, by the afternoon of 2.11, we were reunited and I could not love her more.

Poor Emerson had spend about 24 hours under the lights due to jaundice, and it was so hard for me to limit my holding her to 30 minute increments.

We both went home together on 02.14.16. Valentine's Day. So appropriate.

I love her.

My last bump pic.  We meet tomorrow.  I'm so excited.  And nervous.  I hope I am a good mother to you.

7lb2oz at 36 + 4

Final growth scan today for my chunky monkey.  It will be interesting to see how close we are when she is born on the 10th.  Ash Weds.  Not sure if that is a good omen or not.

Arriving 02.10.16

C Section date is scheduled.  Can't believe how close I am to holding my sweet baby girl.

The 10th is the 16th anniversary of my Grandmother Frances' death.  Considering that Emerson will carry her name, I hope she smiles down on us that day.

Holy Shit!

2.22.16

C section is scheduled for 2.22.16, which is 39+1 days.

I could not LOVE this birthdate more.  2.22 is much like my 5.5 and its also Traci's birthday.

Hang in there Emerson.  Only 31 more days!

34 Weeks! Gold Medal.

We did it!  Emerson and I made it to 34 weeks. I'm proud of us. Dr London wasn't sure we could do it.

This week we get our delivery date. So exciting.

ER Visit

My pink eye isn't getting better, spread to the good eye and I couldn't take it any longer. So, after a relatively quick ER visit, I am trying cipro drops and hoping for some relief.

Eye Saga Continues...

I am officially miserable.  My eye is worse than it was this weekend.  Now the entire eyeball is red and swollen and not just the skin around it.  I had to wear my contacts because I had to work today, so I cannot wait to get home and rip them out of my eyeballs and do the warm compress.

Can't get into my PCP until Weds and no one will help before I see my PCP, so I'm screwed.

33 Weeks!

And I have a horrible eye infection. I am so miserable. My eye is pretty much swollen shut and bruised. I got drops on Friday but they don't seem to be helping. I have a recheck tomorrow and I'm guessing I will be referred to a specialist.

The fun never ends.

Love

Had an NST and growth scan today. Emerson failed the NST because she fails all of them. She doesn't have the accels they are looking for. But we had a BPP afterwards and she is perfect.

She's also a chunky monkey. At 32+4, she is 5lb4oz. That's exactly what I weighed at 37 weeks when I was born.  Emerson is in the 80th percentile. With chipmunk cheeks. And hair.

So in love. Can't wait to meet her in a few short weeks. Hopefully at least 5 more weeks. At least.

Silver Medal!

32 weeks today. Dr London said I got a silver medal at this milestone.

Start appointments every Monday and Thursday this week. On Mondays, I have an NST, on Thursdays, I have the NST, and U/S and a dr check in.

Next milestone is the Gold Medal at 34 weeks.
